Soccer Academy NV Takes On Honduras SF U23 in Semifinal No. 2

LA MIRADA, CA (July 13, 2024) - Two teams on a collision course no one could have predicted.

Soccer Academy Nevada and Honduras SF U23, the Nevada Premier League and Pacific Premier League spring season champions, respectfully, will meet on the field for the first on Saturday at Al Barbour Field on the campus of Biola University.

"A first-time matchup between two great amateur teams in the Southwest! That's what this weekend is all about," Southwest Premier League President Matt Morse said. "These teams stepped up to the challenge of an additional travel tournament and their players will have lifelong memories because of it."

Soccer Academy Nevada finished second during the Nevada Premier League's Spring Season with a 5-0-2 record but won out in the playoffs, defeating Las Vegas United 3-2 in the semifinals and STG Premier Black 1-0 in the playoff final on June 7. 

Honduras SF U23 captured the Spring Season title in its first season in the Pacific Premier League, posting a 6-3-0 record with 21 points from nine matches.

Admission is $10. Children 10-and-under are free.

SATURDAY'S SCHEDULE:
1:30 p.m. - Worldwide Problems FC vs. Chula Vista FC
4:30 p.m. - Soccer Academy Nevada vs. Honduras SF U23
